Is Music Good Or Bad

This Topic keeps coming up a lot. I want to start  by saying I have prayed a lot about it  and I want to share a  few verses  (all from KJV version)

Gen 2: 16-17

¹⁶ And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
¹⁷ But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Gen 3: 1-5

 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

² And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
³ But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
⁴ And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
⁵ For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

So Adam and Eve at from the tree of the knowledge of Good and evil. What does this mean? It means that anything can be used for good or evil. let's take a few examples, TV, Movies, Cars, Atom's (bomb's or electricity), Medicine (heal, kill people)...
My point is mankind can take anything and use for good or twist and use for evil or good. so in and of itself music is not evil or god it is what is being said or what is behind the music that counts. Look at the lifestyle of the artist in question, do the words of the song inspire you to do good or bad or do the words build you up or cut you down do the words remind you of your heavenly Father or the devil?
Something to this about we are suppose to thing to think about we are suppose to think about this things are good and pure, and I ask myself this question where are my thoughts in this thought filled world.

Lost Something Part 2

As Parent or Grandparent How would you fill or how have you felt when you lost a child even for a few minutes? Well when Adam and eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil it broke his heart. He loved us to send Jesus to die in our place so that we might come back to Him. Notice I said might. It is still our choice. God wants us to come back to him on or on, just like we want our children to come back to us on their own. And when they do we give them the very best. God gives us the very best as well. He made as and everything around us. I saw a show on tv the other night about a cactus that has flower that opens at only night and bats will fly over 50 miles just eat the fruit from this flower to help cactus grow and so the bat can feed its young. (at this is only thing these bats will eat)  Only a good God would create something so great as that!  The only thing you need to do is accept the offer God has for you nothing else. It is so simple just tell God you accept offer that you want Jesus to take your place for your sins and ask him to come into your life and live and ask Jesus to take control of life and to help you live a better life and show you what you change and to give you the strength change and bring people across your path to help you do this. If you really mean this your life will change God will move heaven and earth to make this happen, just like if your son or daughter came back to you would you not remove anything and everything out there way? Lost something  Part 1

Have you ever lost something? I have and I spent hours looking for it and  come up empty handed and upset. A friend of mind told me one time a secret.  He said if you know it's God's will for sure then you can ask not tell or command God to allow his angel to find that object and put across your path or put that sense He is all knowing put the place of that object so strong in your mind and open your eyes and allow you to see it in his time and thank him for it. And then go about your business and do not fret or worry and cast your cares on Him. I know easier said than done.

I will share a personal example. We had our grandkids staying with us. I no longer drive because of a medical condition and mu wife has to have glasses to drive. One day after we got home she lost her glasses. She has spare pair and we could not find these either. She also has a pair of sunglasses that she drive with well these got lost as well. So a prayed a prayed like the one above in my own words and within a day her regular where found in a box we were cleaning out and the next day her sunglasses were found on the dash of the car that we all look on several times days before.

To some this all up

This not a formula I do not believe in this at all, Make sure that what you have lost is some that you know beyond a shadow of doubt is the will of God and remember that we are human and we all make mistake and lose things from time to time and God knows everything and God wants us not to worry and to have rest in him.

The Garbage Can

The Garbage Can

 

 

When I was at college I was in a play that I was polishing the outside of a garbage can. Jesus walked by and asked what I was doing. I told I was trying to make myself beautiful. He said have you look inside. I said I never thought too. So I looked inside and I saw the worst stinking mess in the whole world, made all my polishing worthless. I said Jesus how will I clean this mess up, and he told me just allow me to help you, stop throwing garbage in, and from that moment on my garbage change went from being dirty and ugly to something beautiful, but took time, best this Jesus was with me all the way.

Jesus can be with you if you will just trust him, repent from your sins and allow him to come and he will help you clean up your life , little by little and soon you will be the vessel he wants you to be.

This blog is about getting our eyes (including me) off ourselves and on Jesus.

Too many in the church today are so focused on themselves instead of Jesus. It is so easy to do, with life and all the things that go along with it. Too many in church leadership are more focused on who they are instead of who Jesus is. A lot of churches the star is the pastor not Jesus.

 In fact, I was a watching TV and well know TV Preacher yesterday and the sermon was on how to make your mind better. Not one bible verse was used. We are sliding down a very slope that will lead us deeper into sin. Sin is fun for a season but the end is death.

When was the last time you heard a sermon on hell? or on sin? YES!!!! God loves us, He sent his son for us and his son died on the cross and he rose from the grave, that is love, but God also has a another side.  He wants us to be holy!!!

¹⁴ And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
¹⁵ I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
¹⁶ So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
(Rev 3: 14-16) KJV

This was written to one of the 7 Church's..Are we lukewarm YES!!!! God forgive us, Heal us, Make us Hot or Cold, Make us the salt of the earth!!!!!

I know this is hard and not easy, we all like to hear about the love of God and the miracles of God, but we have stand up and be Men and Woman for God.
